BMWK’s Innovation Day for SMEs 2024

Save the date: 13 June 2024 in Berlin

On 13 June 2024 the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) is celebrating its annual Innovation Day for SMEsin Berlin

This popular event brings together innovative projects, high-performing companies and bright minds and will be held under the motto ‘This is how the future works! – Digital. Transformative. Resilient.’ It will showcase the creative energy with which SMEs are tackling the future issues of our society and driving technological change.

The Innovation Day will feature around 300 exhibitors, including young companies and start-ups as well as established family businesses and cooperation partners from industry and research. They will present their pioneering developments, which have been realised with the support of BMWK’s sector-neutral innovation funding.

As in previous years, the “International Area” will host a number of funded international projects, included successful IraSME and CORNET projects. At noon, selected funding agencies from various countries will present their funding conditions. The IraSME and CORNET coordination teams will have their own booth on site and are looking forward to answering your questions regarding potential future R&D project submissions.

The extensive stage programme includes a keynote speech by the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Dr Robert Habeck, and will be framed in advance by interactive webinars on all aspects of BMWK innovation funding, and the opportunity of networking with potential business and research partners via a matchmaking platform (more detailed information available soon at innovationstag-mittelstand-bmwk.de/matchmaking).

The venue is the open-air site of AiF Projekt GmbH in Berlin-Pankow (view Google maps).

Event language: German (but consultation and presentations available in English at the dedicated “International Area”)
