GCCIR has become ECCIR

Our Canadian network partner representing the Province of Alberta has recently undergone a name change. Formerly known as the German-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research (GCCIR) for many years, it is now appropriately called the European-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research (ECCIR). The new name reflects ECCIR’s growing from their roots in German-Canadian collaboration into successfully expanding its focus and activities toward facilitating European-Canadian research and business relations.

ECCIR joined the IraSME network in 2018 and has since participated in every call for proposals. Companies registered in Alberta may apply for R&D funding through the Alberta-Europe Technology Collaboration Fund.
